OUR STORY
Feed the Artists started with a few college students who ran multiple student organizations at their schools. Realizing how much impact a community organization can make on people, they sought to take these organizational skills further. The team came together regularly for a year to study all that it takes to incorporate, run, and achieve a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that could stand the test of time and further the development of underrepresented artists. They studied Robert's Rules of Order, IRS Publications, but most importantly received invaluable real-world guidance by successful nonprofits such as Advancing Macomb, Michigan Community Resources, and StackUp. All the help and support made it possible for Feed the Artists to become an official 501(c)(3) federal nonprofit in the first 6 months of incorporation, inspiring the team to keep striving for more.
